If you bought your car NEW - yes banks are great with you as it still exists as an untitled vehicle and is still a new car.
Used is something completely different.

I do not need gap insurance when I will have over 50% equity in the vehicle. You may have been in the car industry but things do change. The bank has not hassled me once about this car not being in production any longer.
I agree with your comment totally! Plus with the new Chevy SS just coming out that should help keep the price up on the G8's. I love my car, no regrets on buying it ever. I do not drive it that often any longer due to my job and having another car for that. I've had several offers for my car but I can't seem to part with it....
