My mom is looking into getting a new vehicle. Do you think she would be considered well qualified for a (Toyota, Honda, etc.) financing loan on a fixed income? Her only income is social security (not much). Her credit score is above 750.
I think she should be fine. Although the income will be a little light, most unethical folks in this business that I know will give a slight raise to folks in her position to get them over the threshold that their lenders like to see. Except GM Financial. They are just hard to deal with even prime customers get crappy rates unless they are doing the 0% deal, then it runs pretty smoothly.
If I remember correctly Honda Financial wants a 725 for their best rates. (been a while since I was working at a Honda store).
