3 weeks post ch 13 Discharge

Well, its been 3 weeks, I have received a Capital One with 1000k limit, Kohls with 300.00 limit, and approved for FHA mortgage for 310k...so I am in the process of getting back to a normal life. This time , no balances will be carried except mortgage.

We are down to our last Chp 13 payment so discharge within 60 days.  Which Cap One card is it and did you get a mailer or see any pre approval for it or just rolled the dice?

You got approved for an fha mortgage 3 weeks post bk??

My question as well!  I'm 1 year post CH13 discharge and I can't find a lender willing to touch me!  But it could be because I only want a "known" company or credit union.

Aren't you able to get a FHA loan while still in a Chapter 13? I mean, if you could find a lender to do it..

@tnvols Don't do anything until your discharge is reporting to all 3 bureaus - Then check the Cap One pre-qual. Did you burn them?

Most Chapter 13's last 5 years, so by the time you're discharged your bankruptcy is 5 years old. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get a mortgage right away.
