9 day post CH 7 Discharge Capital One approval

I had a Capital One card included in Bk. I was just approved for a low limit card with them for $300. I did the prequalifier and it came back positive so I applied. It just feels good to have a fresh start.

It appears to be a unsecured. It didn’t ask for the deposit. I had a secured card with them in the past.

Cool. Now here's the plan. After 3 full statements post. Get a SP CLI from the website. Use it like a debit card as if you didnt have a CC. Pay it off each month. Or each payday. On month 4's statement. Use the upgrade link and get the QS. Then the Credit Steps will kick in between 5-6 months. Go from there. After 6 months try the Disco pre-qual and see if you can get the It card. Stay away from the QS1. Its a brick and doesnt do much. And your off to better things to come. Slow and steady. Dont rush. You'll get there like I did. just takes time. Good Luck and congrats!

That’s good advice. The interest rate is probably ungodly high and it simply doesn’t make sense to carry a balance on a $300 card.
