Accounts reporting on TU after BK, correct or incorrect?

Hi all, I took a look at my recent TU report and some of my accounts are reporting as follows:  Remarks say IIB, balance is zero, past due is zero, but the pay status section states Payment after charge off/collection.  On my accounts that seem to be reporting normally, the pay status says unrated.  Do I need to dispute this issue and if so, what dispute reason do I use to the CRA's?  Also does the reporting with the pay status of Payment after charge off/collection, affect my score?  Anybody have any suggestions on this one?  I just don't know of those accounts are reporting correctly.

Another account in the pay status states 120 days past due, but remarks say chapter 7 BK and balance is zero and past due is zero.  Any ideas if I should dispute the pay status?  Or is the fact that all the accounts state IIB in the remarks section good enough?

Please help!!!!!!!!!  Thanks!!

I know zilch about BK reporting, but did the CO occur before the bK was filed? In other words, did it go bad before you filed BK? If so, my guess would be that it is reporting OK, but again, I know very little.

Have you tried sending GWs?

Re: Accounts reporting on TU after BK, correct or incorrect?

Most of my CO's were before the BK since I had stopped paying way before I filed.  So I guess technically they are correct listing it as both CO and IIB.  I was just wondering it that's something I should dispute or not.  I don't believe it effects my score, but I could be wrong.  Can you send GW letters to creditors that were discharged under chapter 7?  If so, I didn't know that you could do this.  If I can, what exactly do I say, I mean the account is discharged now, IIB, with zero balance and showing zero due.  Let me know.  Thanks!!!

I wouldn't dispute if it is reporting accurately. You wouldn't want them to update in a way to make it worse. I guess you can send GWs. I don't see why not. I wouldn't do it if the TL was my oldest or among my oldest. I wouldn't want them to delete and lose points.I'd look around for any success, but if faced with rebuilding, I'd send GWs.

Re: Accounts reporting on TU after BK, correct or incorrect?

I might try the GW letters at some point.  My score hasn't been affected by the reporting so I may just leave it alone at this point, since the accounts do say IIB.
