Hi all. Hubby and I had to file bankruptcy. We had our MOC Dec 18th. I had 3 collections from Monterey. They were originally from my previous credit union. BOTH Monterey and the CU were IIB. Monterey had closed their accounts and vanished off my reports almost instantly after receiving notice. However tonight, I received an alert saying my Equifax score tanked 37 pts due to a new collection accout. Surprise! Monterey came back with all 3 with no remarks saying IIB. So I don't know what to do now?!
I believe this may be accurate.
Once discharged - For a Chapter 7 all accounts should report IIB and zero balance and can stay on your report for 7 years.
Don't worry about your reports or score until your discharge comes in the mail .
search this forum for the Bankruptcy to 700 thread. It will help you tremendously.

I've had things disappear, reappear, comments updated through my BK process. lol

The reporting is all over the place during the process so I didn't look into my reports until discharge.

So I have no idea why I quoted you and didn't directly respond to you. lol
But, yes, the reporting is all over the place. I believe it was on the BK to 700 thread that it was advised to disputed things after filing that didn't show IIB, so I think part of the process was updates from that.
I've been pulling my repots weekly since the pandemic started (because why not), so I saw all the changes happen weekly.
But OP - the best thing you can do is just wait it out until discharge and dispute things that aren't reporting properly then.
