After BK discharge and sometime rebuilding what are the good cards possible to get?
I am wondering what cards people have gotten after the healing process.
So far I have the Cap1, Discover, Merrick, Credit One, Open Sky, Target and a couple Comenity store cards that I hate.
Looks like Chase, Citi and AMEX are a no goooo till this thing falls off. Any others I should be looking into after I get deep into this rebuilding.
At some point I will want to cancel Credit One and the Open Sky secured and replace with something much better.

My best cards by far are with PenFed and NFCU. I have roughly $25k in available credit with each of them.
I believe you have to be at least 1 year post d/c with a good rebuild underway for unsecured products, though.

Did you burn AMEX? If not they might let you in. I just got approved for a card and still have a BK listed though it is about to drop off in a few months.
If I recall correctly, AMEX is not BK friendly and will want a few years post discharge to approve.

How many are secured? You have looks like more than 7 cards. I'd chill and let them age a while. You only need 3 for best FICO scoring while rebuilding. Slow and steady. Took me 3 yrs to get where I'm at. FICO gets better with time like wine.

They dont want a "few" years. They have a BK policy of 5 yrs + 1 month post filing before they consider it. If you burned them, then you'll be declined unless you pay them back.
