So chap 7 bankruptcy discharged In feb 2017. I have JPMCB acct reporting a 30 day late in jan 2017.
Should it be reporting this way? If not, how do I get it fixed?
The other negative accounts are reporting CO in feb 2017 for Experian while the other credit bureaus are reporting NR.
@MDG099, my understanding is, since the information is reporting correctly, there really isn't much you can do except maybe a goodwill letter.
FWIW, while annoying, I suspect this particular item on your report isn't really hurting you all that much, if at all.
It comes down to dates. If that late was added after the date of filing. Then thats a no no. No negative info can be placed on your reports after filing date. You could dispute it with copies of the filing and DC to the CRA. But really. 1 30 day late with a BK isnt going to change much. When I had my 1 late before BK fall off. I got nothing in return. 1 30 day after 2 yrs really doesnt hurt much even on cleaner files. It loses most of its sting.
I'm following up with this one. I have attached screenshots of the negative items on my report. They're all reporting differently and I'm wondering what is the correct way of reporting.
Looks normal. The accounts that were included in the BK wont show in good standing. They'll be negative due to being burned.
