Authorized User?

Ok so I got the funds together so I'm planning on meeting with a bankruptcy attorney on Monday and I know you need to list all the creditors.

My question is... I've been an authorized user on my dad's capital one quicksilver card for a couple of years.

Do I need to include this in my list of creditors?

I don't have a job so my boyfriend is the one that's been making the minimum monthly payments.

I plan on asking my lawyer but I just want to know what to expect.

Re: Authorized User?

I'm not a lawyer, but a AU isn't a party to a contract
They are simply a USER

The company is NOT a creditor of YOURS, as YOU don't have an account with them, your Dad does.

My lender, would NEVER have the right ask my daughter for a payment
Nor my gf or anybody else I authorized to simply USE my account

Bottom line you CAN'T include that account because it doesn't belong to you, you don't have the standing to do so

Socially, you and Pops may have a family agreement that you pay for what you use but you are a 3rd party to the 2 party agreement between Pops and Cap1

Re: Authorized User?

When I went to my lawyer, they pulled up my credit report and asked me to verify that all creditors were listed.

I asked about being an authorized user and they said it'll all be included.

But since it showed a $0 bal, they just simply removed it and it wasn't IIB.
