I wanted to start this thread because in August 2019 when I got my Chapter 7 BK Discharge I barely found info on this Credit Union! I had only looked into it because I remembered family members use to use them. And sure enough a few days after Discharge I came across the BCU Launch card. You put as little as $150 into the deposit to secure it. I put the 150$ in. Well throughout the year following (2020) I used it and PIF every month usually. I increased it with another 150$ in about March or April can't remember. So I had the 300$. Well August 21, 2020 was the year mark so I was like ok. I am gonna apply for a refinance on my car so I will first tackle the Launch CC. So I call in and ask to apply for the Travel Rewards Visa. A few hours later they send this.
· New! Credit Line: $2,000.00
· Contract APR: 16.250% APR.
So I closed the launch and got my 300$ back. With that Launch Card opening that door I have refinanced my car from 20%+ to a 4.49% apr. I have increased my Travel Visa to 5k and am getting the Signature status hopefully by the end of today. And a couple days ago opened a BCU Cash Rewards Card with this
