CONGRATS!
Hi all!
So when your bankruptcy falls off your score jumps pretty drastically?
Is there any way of knowing how much it could jump?
Mine falls off October 2016
That will be 3 LONG years!!!
There's no way to tell because it depends on what else is in your report.
I'm expecting mines to fall off EQ in a week-May 1. I can hardly contain my excitement. 10 long years.....a bottle of champagne to celebrate is in order!!!!
Does the fall off date vary by state? I was under the impression it was 7 years... if it really 10? I just passed the 7 year mark earlier this year...haven't ordered new reports yet, so I'm not sure if it's gone or not. I'm gonna be SEVERELY bummed if it's 10 when I was told 7 before
Chapter 7 remains for 10 yrs from date filed. All accounts included in the chapter 7 will be removed from your credit reports at the 7 yr mark.
Chapter 13 remains only for 7 yrs.
So that sounds like (since it was a 7) that the negative score impact will remain for 3 more years even though the "detail" of the accounts involved is now gone. Is that correct?
Don't get your hpopes up for score increases.. it really is a YMMV thing.. some have had score jump, other scores have fallen and for me 2 out the 3 so far no score change at all.
