Wife and I filed our BK7 in Dec 2015 and it was Discharged in March 2016. Already somehow through disputes got it removed from my Equifax .Tonight tried my luck getting it off our TU asking for Early Exclusion and it was removed immediately from both our reports
Hi. Congrats!! I was wondering what steps you took to remove bk7. Will you please elaborate? My chap 7 discharged in match 2020. I would like to give a shot. Thanks.
That's outstanding, has to be a great feeling, congratulations!!

I got it off my EQ about 7 months or more ago by just disputing it a few times. All my consumer reports are frozen however so I don't know if that made any difference or not.
For TU last night I went to mine and DW's Transunion report and disputed it under the option of multiple inaccuracies as you have to chose something. In the comments field I just mentioned the age of the item and that I was kindly requesting an Early Exclusion. I wasn't expecting a change at all especially when I realized I was still 3 years out before it was set to drop anyway. It was instantaneous for them deleting it on both reports.
Now if I can just get it off my EX and DW's EQ and EX. I already tried once so now when I try it says I already filed a dispute and cant file another but rather just upload supporting documents to get another decision
Thank you so much @EAT_SLEEP_JEEP
My BK7 Is due to fall off in December but after reading your post I decided to try exactly what you did with Transunion and was shocked it was removed immediately!. I'm going to try the others next!

Congrats... I gotta say this TU EE stuff seems completely random though. I did some disputes last week with a BK 13 that is due to fall off in 1/24... along with some accounts and collection due to fall off 8/23 and 9/23.
They removed 2 accounts and collection... but left 3 accounts and the PR saying they were accurate.
Not a huge deal to me either way they'll be coming off in a month or two. Just funny how 1 month seems to make a difference in this case.
I'm not really stressing about it too much since my scores are pretty good it's just nice to see all I worked so hard for the past 8 years finally paying off. My goal was always to have a clean report and I'm one step closer!

Same... worst case scenario I'm 11 months away from clean reports although I know most of the baddies will be gone before then. 2023 is looking bright. I'd probably be at 700 right now if I wasn't carrying some 0% CC debt... .but it is what it is. Plan is to pay it off this year and be sitting pretty when the reports go clean.

Outstanding, I'm glad it worked out for you. Experian is still holding out strong on us but I expect that anyway being as we are technically just under 3 years away from it falling off on its on.
I received a credit alert from Experian today and my score dropped 23 points?... I'll have to research it further but to my knowledge the only thing that changed between yesterday and today is disputing the BK. Has anyone heard of a score drop because of a dispute?
