Hello,

I am considering filing chapter 7 and must admit that I’m scared. I have a ton of credit card debt that’s purely due to stupid purchases (clothes, put fencing around my house, etc). I don’t know what I was thinking, I guess I just had the “I’ll deal with it later” mentality.

Am I going to get in trouble for getting into debt for such stupid reasons? Has anyone had a similar situation?

Bk is scary along with a lot of other emotions. As for the reasons for the debt, I’m positive others have had similar or even worse reasons. You’ll be fine, so don’t worry. Go speak to an attorney to discuss your options.
