I got the Barclays Rewards Mastercard in June of 2014 (was discharged in Feb of 2014). Like I said, literally every six months they have given me an increase without asking, so, no complaints there.
I waited 1 year and 4 months to apply for Discover. Went for the Arrival+ and was approved for WEMC.
- 02/2014 Barclay Arrival $3,000 ----> 08/2014 auto CLI to $4,500 I called in to recon limit and was increased to $6,000
Now that card is sitting at $9k and I downgraded to the no AF version after they devalued the points

@TXinandout wrote:I iiB two of their cards (waiting for discharge now), and I'm wondering how long did it take you to get back in with them?
1) How many cards did you burn?
2)How long after discharge were you approved?
3) TU score at the of the application?
I hope we can have some people sharing their experiences, I will give it my first try 6 months post-discharge.
Thank you!
Let's see.. Discharged July 2014, first Baclays Rewards card Feb 2015 (7 months) and then was approved for Barclays Apple Rewards in May 2015. Got a mailer for a new Rewards card with lower APR in August, applied and then combined my original Rewards card, my Apple Rewards card into the new Rewards card.
More recently, applied for their new CashForward card and was approved in March. (World Mastercard)
Also, Applied for Discover Student version in April 2015 and was approved. (Haven't had a CLI on it, but have used it sparsely and paid it off right away. Last attempt to get a CLI I was declined for bankruptcy, length of time of accounts and # lack of recent installment loan. (Discover, would you give me an installment loan if you're so concerned about that? No? Okay, thanks!)
Oh well. Also, no more apping and I've put my cards in a bank lock box now due to my job situation.. at least they are there but I won't be using any of them until I figure my situation out.
Data point for the OP. I burned Barclays in my bk which has been discharged for over 6 years now, the amount was like 722.00. I have applied for Barclays card and have been turned down every single time. I must have applied like six times since my BK. They have never pulled my credit. I also tried to recon every single time. They have said every single time is because I included them in my BK. I even offered to pay them the balance back, which they declined. Oh well I really don't need Barclays has I have over 160K in credit cards from other banks. Just a data point for you. I have seen others get back in with Barclays after the BK and they were included in the BK. I have a feeling I'm blacklisted for life with them.

They were not

Scupra - for your discover, were you solicited by them or did you cold apply? My wife gets mail every other day to apply for them - but I've never gotten anything. Curious.
I cold apped for Discover at 22 months a couple points shy of 700 and was declined, after that Chase became my new goal.. Now Discover sends me invites almost 2 times a week!
WOW I'm sorry to hear that, it seems there isn't any consistency with Barclays and BKs.
