Yes they approved me for a unsecured and I put them in my bk13 go figure

Did you find this out with their prequal tool online?  Or did you cold app anyway and get approved?

Approved for Credit One Platinum with $400 limit. Might not be an ideal card but it’s an unsecured revolving account for my file.

I got one for $500 and thankfully the AF was only $39 for the year.

I just filed for Chapter 13 in August 2018... I applied for the NFCU secured card last night, 1-30-19 and I got an email this morning stating that I was approved... Logged into my account and the $200 was gone and the secured card info was showing up under my accounts tab.. So all I can say is give it a try...

Congrats on your approval with your Navy secured.  That’s about the fourth approval I’ve seen for their secured card while in an open Ch 13 (mine included) and I hope it gives hope to others.  While others may have not enjoyed similar success (with NFCU), I don’t feel it is right to dissuade others from trying if you are not 100% certain of an institution’s policies.  I believe the thread was started to help share positive information among those in open 13’s and not to promote personal grudges against an institution.
