So I'm switching from NFCU before I file chap 7. (I owe them about 45k). Any suggestions on who to go with? I'm military and move often so I'd prefer a bigger national bank. Anyone have experience with Wells Fargo or BOA? Thanks
Stay away from Wells - they will freeze your account when you file and you won't have access to your funds. This is fairly well known about WF, but for some reason they have been getting away with it for years! the 9th Circuit says it violates the automatic stay, but this policy has been in place a very long time. I had/have no issues with Chase at all and I had them before and after my filing (for many years).
