I know curiosity killed the cat...but I was playing with the pre qualifier for Cap1. I was pre approved for 2 cards.....should I hit the button? Or should I wait as my official discharge hit my CR's....

P.S's all of my debts read as $0 IIB

My discharge is today actually. And I was just curious (as it would not have affected my credit score). And they pre approved me for 2 cards. I am nervous however because I really dont want to hinder any progress by moving too fast.

As long as the discharge is complete, go for it. Make sure you apply for both on the same day, it will only use 1 set of credit pulls. Good luck!

This topic comes up so often actually. We all have different opinions on it as well. Personally, I would wait. Especially with how close to d/c you are

I only applied because after talking with my attorney it was ok'd by them . Other than that I was going to wait until I received the official notice in the mail . I can see the discharge , but not all my reports have updated , the credit I applied for I felt comfortable with , fingerhut I was in good standing with before BK , capital one had charged off but they updated my file with them, as for my credit union and Discover , I took a chance . Discover countered with the secure option wilhichbim okay with , and with my CU I'm waiting on the decision . Before you do anything talk to your attorney , and congrats on your rebuilding journey😎
