I got two alerts for updates on my Experian report. In the Public Records section, it shows my BK7, however, when I look at the individual accounts on my report, they all say "Charge-Off/Other Derog" starting the month that I filed (September 2022).
I'll have to see how it all shakes out when I discharge December 19th, but it looks like I'll be writing them a letter for correction.
TransUnion and Equifax are correct.
Be patient, that is the best advice I can give right now. My reports jumped all over the place. By the time I was discharged things settled down and I only had to dispute two accounts, Citi and NFCU. NFCU actually took a CFPB complaint.
Do EQ/TU show IIB and $0 balance? If so, in time EX will say the same. Whatever the account was before filing stays the same. When a bankruptcy court discharges a case, a creditor whose debt has been effectively canceled is required to charge off that debt, regardless of the delinquency status. The history of delinquencies can be reported, but the balance must be zero.
I wouldnt be concerned about what reports say during the bk process, in fact i personally didnt pay attention until months after discharge. I would say if your discharge is in december all the dust should settle by february. After feb your previous credit accts should all say bankruptcy and worded as previously mentioned upthread.
