Didn't reaffirm car, turning it in, extended warranty cancellation

Hi!

I included my car in bankruptcy, did NOT reaffirm as I was upside down ... and I'm turning it in now,  a few months after my BKCH7 finished.  I bought an extended warranty with it 2 years ago, and I called to cancel the extended warranty to try to get some $$ back from it.  They are asking if the car will be paid off(specifically requesting "acceptable proof of payoff"), I told them I included it in bankruptcy etc.  They are saying if I don't have acceptable proof of payoff, they will refund the money to the lienholder.  Is it even worth my time to go through all the paperwork for cancellation?  They are also requesting a "repossession letter."  Will I be able to get $$ back or will it go to lienholder?

TIA
