Pacer says Debtor Discharged 6/24/19. I haven't received a letter yet, but I assume this is accurate? I have my Delta Skymiles Amex which had a 0 balance that is still active. Could this card have survived the BK? Should I expect it to close? Thanks for any help!
You can print your DC paper from PACER. Just as good as what the lawyer will send you. Are you still using the card? And most inportant. Have you pulled your reports to make sure everyone followed the rules and each account has IIB and 0 balance yet? Are you still using the card or have you tried yet?
Hi and thanks for the reply. I haven't used the card. It does show that I have available credit when I sign in and what my spending power is. It also appears that my Dell DFS account, which was not included in BK due to 0 balance is still active and showing my spending power there as well. I was going to wait 30 days before pulling all 3 reports to give them time to have everything updated. I hope that is the right move. Just curious if accounts actually survive the BK.
I received my discharge papers. Official discharge being 6/24/19. I confirmed that two of my accounts survived the BK somehow. My Delta Skymiles Amex and my Dell DFS account. Both 0 balance. I think I will just use the Amex to get a jump start on my rebuild. Fortunately, I don't have to do the secured card thing and will start using the Amex (revolving) for some small purchases and pay them off in full each month. I don't need anything from Dell, so I guess that account will just sit there. The Dell account is 10 years old and the Amex is 5 years old, both still reporting.
Thanks, pizza1! I am looking into a self lender loan, I don't like upfront costs etc, but it is what it is. My Credit Union doesn't offer those type of credit builder loans.
