Re: Discover?

@Cisco-Nj I did a prequal and it stated  "previous relationship" something along those lines. I think it's best to stick with the prequal for Discover. I heard people get back in within 12 months post discharge and some many years later.

Re: Discover?

Disco is a odd duck. Some get in quick and some it takes a long time. To pin point it is like trying to get a CLI with them. No one is the same or knows. But good luck either way.

My posts are JMHO. My siggy is not to brag at all. Just sharing my experiences after learning here from rebuild to recovery after BK DC @ 540's. And to show fellow members what can be accomplished when you do it right and play the FICO Credit Game.

Re: Discover?

I wonder if it has anything to do with the amount they were burned for?

I personally am not expecting to get in with them for many years as they were the 2nd highest CL card I burned. (sad lol)

Filed 05.01.2020; MOC 06.08.2020; Objection to Discharge Deadline: 08.07.2020

Looking forward to the rebuild!

Re: Discover?

@angelofmusic86  I can confirm it has NOTHING to do with how much they were IIB on. I filed, owed $0 on my Discover card, closed my account on my own, and I get the "Previous Relationship" denial reason each time I've done their prequal over the last 3 years.

Btw, I had a flawless history with Discover: Never late, never returned payment, etc.

PenFed Visa Signature $35000 (Opened 6/20) - NFCU More Rewards AMEX $13000 (Opened 1/19) -Capital One World Elite MC $11200 (Opened 11/17) - TTCU Platinum Visa $10000 (Opened 10/18) - Uber Visa $5000 (Opened 1/19) - Target Store Card $2000 (Opened 10/18) - Floor & Decor Store Card $30500 (Opened 10/18)
Total CL - $106700

CH7 BK Filed 8/1/17 Discharged 11/7/17

Re: Discover?

Wow, that's crazy.  At least they offer the prequal site, so I can keep checking periodically in the next few years.   Thank you for sharing your experience!

It is hit and miss. They were IIB for a small amount in mine. Filed 11/2017, discharged 3/2018. Still get the "Status of Existing/Prior Relationship" wording when I look at their prequal page.

Re: Discover?

@sccredit This is good info! This may be the same outcome for me. I'll try after a year or so from my discharge date.
