@holmesnmanny, I checked PACER and see nothing with my name. I believe my attorneys office dragging their feet and feeding me horse hockey about waiting on a case # 😡. I'm angered bc me and my husband are the vulnerable ones in this and are grateful we have an option but don't deserve to be strung along. I will be reaching out to them first thing in the morning.

Thanks!

Even if the attorney files it electronically there will immediately be notice of your filing and a case number that you can give to people to give them notice to cease collection efforts. The good news is that even if somehow your pay gets sent to the sheriff there will still be a waiting period and when you do file you will be able to show them the bankruptcy notice and they will likely cut you a check on the spot for the amount withheld.

Re: Garnishment in the midst of filing

*Update*
I received my case # today.
Now I have a question, how soon should and/or often should I check PACER? Can someone share the link?

TIA!

Re: Garnishment in the midst of filing

Pacer will update with your basic information right away, but there is little need to start really checking pacer till some time after your 341.  At least in my case my case wasnt updated regularly.
