Yep, that's money in your pocket.
Is there a copy of that letter somewhere on here? I am having the same problem! Bill was given to a different collection agency AFTER bankruptcy but the original bill was included in my bankruptcy. The CRA's won't delete it because it is showing a date after my filing date. They don't have all the info and it is very frustrating for me!!!
Please keep us informed of the events Flamenco, Most all of us here, I'm sure would love to hear about a CA getting it stuck to them!!
Hi Guys,
I am new to the forum, but very excited about it. I, too have the same problem, contacted my attorney, he confirmed that the Original Creditor was list in the BK (13), and advised me to send them ALL a letter, stating this account was included in BK. He also advised me to instruct the CA to DELETE the item and send me notification that they have complied, or further actions would be taken. Received notification from TU and Equifax that the item had been deleted, and my score went up tremendously. I, like many is very excited about scores in which i am achieving now. I know what got me into this mess, and I keep that in front of my mine, so that it won't happen again. I did receive a secured credit card from my Credit Union, as well as a secured loan, which also boost my score. I am also waiting for that 700 plus score on all three. Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it and it has helped me a lot.
