Do you have to be part of the military to join this credit union or to even apply for a card?

Autumn- you don't have to be military. You can be family of military or an employee of the depth of defense.... Or there is also a way to join as a civilian. Someone posted a thread on how to do it that way.

I'm joining via the civilian way posted on the thread here. I aubmitted my packet via fax to them, Wednesday. I checked with them Friday since I hadn't heard anything back and the woman said they're doing a hard push for new members so the turn around time is at least 5 business days. So I'm patiently waiting..

I was told the same thing Harley... I also submitted mine last Wednesday .. I'm not rushing into applying for their cards but just wanna be a member... Does anyone know if they hp for membership?! And what bureau do they pull and scoring system do they use??

Yes they do hard pull for membership. And applying for any cards, CLOC is another pull.  They pulled  TU on mine.  The letter I recieved showed my CS as 665.  Not sure what scoring system they used.

I'm not sure what CR they use, but they do pull one on you. It was also on the fine print where you signed when submitting your memberhsip via paper. I'm not sure if it says online. I couldn't use the online system since I was joining the civilian way.

I've read tht NCFU is way behind on new membership applications because of their June membership drive. 

I know that they still have not credited my account for 2 referrals I made. My mom and a friend that's in the Air Force joined last Saturday in the same branch I joined in.

Hopefully they will get your new membership applications approved soon.
