Thanks for clearing that up, I read online that for the NFCU secured loan they didn't do a credit check so I assumed the same for the secured cc. Will try to apply for the nRewards if I don't get it I'll call see if I can get the secured one
Hmmm Navy is very HP happy so that seems odd.. I have never had a secured loan from them though so I don't know. Good luck, NFCU has been a savior for a lot of us!
Keep up the great work!
@Scupra wrote:Hey everyone! Just wanted to spell out my rebuild to add to the already great rebuild stories after bankruptcy. I filed BK7 07/2012 after beating myself up for years. I had some medical issues that caused me to lose my job and incur a ton of medical debt. I was discharged in 10/2012 and found the "BK7 to 700" thread a little late. Now I have a built up savings account and an emergency fund to protect my financial future, and most of all credit.
- 10/2012 Cap1 opened at $500 ----> 04/2013 increased to $2,000 by auto CLI ----> 09/2104 increased to $5,000 by exec office request
- 10/2012 NFCU secured opened at $500 ----> 11/2013 unsecured and CLI to $7,000 ----> 08/2014 CLI to $14,000 by luv button
- 02/2013 NFCU opened at $1,000 ----> 11/2013 increased to $8,500 ----> 08/2014 CLI to $14,000 by luv button
- 07/2013 auto loan 4%
- 12/2013 NFCU $15k NavChek
- 02/2014 Barclay Arrival $3,000 ----> 08/2014 auto CLI to $4,500 I called in to recon limit and was increased to $6,000
It's been said many times and I will echo that there is life after bankruptcy and to just stick to the plan and be patient. Thank you to everyone on the boards for helping me get out of a bad situation and into a great one. Good luck everyone!

Thank you! I was pleasantly surprised
You've been working hard. Well deserved.
t's ythe perk of the amazon card that places it above using one of the NFCU lines?

Honestly, I think the only positive would be the 0% deals. I wanted to open another revolver and know Sync is pretty good with CLI's. The card will grow with me and hey, I got a $40 gift card lol
Talked to the Cap1 EO and they are going to get rid of my AF wooo!
You're almost at 700!!! I've been paying attention, and you're inspiring. Congrats on the Amazon card!
