Re: My rebuild story :)

@Scupra, That's a great story!

I had to file BK7 too in 2012 and was D/C on 6/2012. You are doing so well. I wish I knew how you got your Fico scores up this good?

Mine are as of 11/15/16

Fico 08

Experian 727

TU 721

EQ 713

I have a total of over 170K in credit lines and utilization between 10-13%.

Please advise!

Thank you very much! Your cards and scores look great, heck I only have roughly $125k in credit. I wish I could tell you why my scores were so high, but I would be guessing. I have no IIB acounts left and the only negatice bsides the BK is 2 late payments from over 5 years ago. Oddly when my mortgage started reporting it held my score down. Just did a refi and when the mortgage reported as paid off, my scores went down more lol. So now just waiting for the new mortgage account to report and see what happens.

Re: My rebuild story :)

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Having a mortgage will increase your score with time.

When my mortgage fell off my credit 10 years after it was paid off, my score went down. I have no negatives beside the actual BK7. No late payments, no collections, but no mortgage. 3 car loans, 2 paid off and one is current 20 months old.

Re: My rebuild story :)

@Scupra,

So, a small summary of my situation. Filed CHapter 13 02/15 because of job issues and 100K in student loan debt and CC debt. I converted to a CH7 08/16 and had my 341 on 11/18/16. So what can I expect as far as discharge date and rebuilding. I printed the post on rebuilding to 700 CS. My student loans were included in my bankruptcy because based on where I work and in MS I will never make enough to pay them. All my accounts were current before I filed. my scores are as follows as of now:

Transunion: 564

Equifax: 584

Experian: ??

ALSO: Just viewed my Equifax report and it states that I filed CH 7 03/25/15 which is around the time I filed for CH13. What do I need to do now so that I can get myself ready for better credit and a mortgage soon?

Thanks for any advice you give. I have been following your story and it has been so inspiring.

Re: My rebuild story :)

Great reading that thing continue to go well for you and your rebuild.  I haven't been on as much as I was but continue to stay dilligent andso really wait for the day when I get back with the better cards that still won't touch anyone with a BK.  Need those sign-up bonus points.  I just recently completed the FHA Streamline as well and am in the middle of actually refi'ing to a conventional to get rid of that PMI.

Would love to get on of those Chase cards or even the Costco card.  Need to get the house situated first though.
