Well, I guess I'm trying to do too much too quick. I called this morning and was told the application was declined due to bankruptcy. I was just discharged last month. The guy on the phone asked if I had started to establish credit. I told him that I had and only have the CreditOne card, which I recently got. He told me to continue to establish credit and try again in 6 months.
Good advice you got.
Maybe try CapOne?
Navy has a secured card to.

I can't remember exactly but I was around 12 months post d/c and was instantly approved. Give it some time. I had a NFCU secured card from day 1 after d/c and it was unsecured at 13 months and CLI to $7k. Decent card with rewards!
I'll try the capital one. I wonder though should I just wait a while. I got the CreditOne the middle of last month. So it has not been quite a month with that card yet. I want to join the 700 club. But don't want to screw myself. I had a 0 balance Dell account, but charged about $200 on that. I have a $3000 limit on that. Maybe I'll pay off the dell and keep the CreditOne for a little. You think it'll mess up the 700 plan if I try from Capital One now?
I went ahead and applied. I got approved for $1000 Quicksilver card. I'm just going to work on those and get the Shares Secured Loan when I can put some money in my savings for collateral. Hopefully it will still put me in the running for over 700 credit score.
My credit wallet will have:
Credit One-$300 -$200 balance
Capital One-$1000
Dell-$3000 with $200 balance
I have about $100,000 in consolidated school loans. They are currently in forebearance.
