Hi everyone!
I have read these forums many times before but I am new to posting here myself.
BK 7 Discharge 02/15
Current scores are EQ - 710
TU - 686
Current accounts and limits - CO Venture 15K / Macy's Store Card 10K / Capital One QS 3.5K (Currently in 6th month after CLI, expecting an increase this week) / Citi Simplicity 2K
Post BK account history has been flawless, score is still affected (other than BK) by late student loan payments prior to BK discharge. However, I up until now have either made large payments or carried low balances on the accounts. Moving forward I will PIF every month.
My dream cards are the Amex Platinum or Chase Sapphire Preferred/Reserve. I know that these are very difficult to get approved for, even more difficult post BK. However, I believe that in a few years I may have a chance.
I did not burn either bank in my BK.
Any suggestions for cards I should apply for now or actions to take or do I just sit in the garden (is that correct use of the phrase? ;p) with the cards I currently have? I'm especially happy with my Venture card. I was just approved for 15K with a 13.99% APR.
Any tips or suggestions would be very welcome and appreciated!
Welcome to myFICO! Can I ask if you filed for a 13 or 7? Thank you

For AMEX you will have to wait until at least 5 years post file date. After that, you are free to try
Chase is a different story. I have heard rumors that they have tightened up on BK approvals, not sure I believe them yet though. Some people have gotten in with a lower SL card around 2 years. I got my CSP around the 3 year mark IIRC. It is definitely possible and don't let anyone tell you you cant just because of the BK, I didn't
