Hi there. Apologize if this was already answered but my spouse filed for protection on Sept 23rd. Meeting of creditors is Oct 10. Tried to go online to get her a navy fed account shes never had one nor doesnt owe them any money. The online app was denied so I contacted them by phone, the rep made several attempts as well and was unsuccessful. Could this be because of pending bk discharge and would it be wise to wait after discharge? Shes only trying to obtain a checking/savings account at this time, no CC. Just wanted to get her together once the rebuilding begins. Not sure why shes being denied since she doesnt have any bad marks within the ChexSystems.
