Great site! thanks for all the info. I want to follow the step by step plan as detailed in the post BK to 700. I recently received my discharge letter last week. My husband and I filed jointly. Do we each follow the steps indicated or do we do it as a couple? We each had cards in our own names, as well as together that were included on the BK. For exampled after Credit disputes: Do we both apply for Bank one card or just one of us? do we both open a credit builder loan or both of us? Need further explanation.
I have read separate

Separately - you each have your own credit profile/reports that need to be rebuilt.
Each of you should follow the steps on the thread. Later down the road you can see if it makes sense to become AU's on each other's accounts.
This sums it up!
Seperately is key for long term goals I believe.
Look at the mortgage example -
If you apply together, they take the mid score from both of you.
If only one of you repaired your credit, it drags you down to the lower mid-score.
