If someone included private student loans in a Chapter 13 plan for five years but they still owed a substantial amount on them, i know the loans still have to be paid. But what if the SOL ran out already during that payment plan? Does bankruptcy reset the SOL clock? If you can’t affird the payment after bankruptcy and end up in collections, does the 7 year reporting period restart also even if it had previously ended?
