I officially filed a CH 7 on August 28th this year and my meeting of creditors is next week. A lot of my tradelines have been updated to IIB with a $0 balance. This caused my score to jump 60 points on TU and 40 on EQ. Not sure how much things have changed with EX but I bet once everything is updated on all three bereaus I'll probably see an 80-100 point increase.

in regards to reaffirming, will finance companies negotiate lower rates if you are current (never late) to prevent you from including deficient balance to bk? I read this somewhere but not sure if it's true
I do not understand the question...bankruptcy, as far as I know ends negotiation with creditors. If this is for a secured debt, you can only keep the asset if you continue to make payments or reaffirm. It is sometimes possible to reaffirm the debt after the amount of debt over the value of the asset is eliminated in some cases or so I've read. This would probably require the help of lawyer and the bankruptcy court.
