So are bank statements needed to prove your income is below a certain level?
What is this level/amount of income you have to be at to qualify for a 7 in Texas?
So many new threads buddy Try and post your questions in one thread, I'm getting lost with what questions I have and haven't answered for you.
Yes, bank statements will be required when filing BK.
Okay so if I close my current bank accounts and open a new account elsewhere..then file BK..if the lawyer wants bank statements 12 months back what do I do? for example sake at the time of filing I have had the new account open for 2-3 months.
Will the trustee/my attny make me go back to the old bank to get this statements?
they will ask for your old bank account statments for 3 months probably . also the new one they just want to make sure u are not hidding money or paying for Luxuary
So I will have to get with the old bank and ask for statements for the old account correct?

Do you have electronic statements that you can print from your computer? If so, start downloading and printing them - better to have too many months than have to go to a branch to get them.
I would recommend pulling anything you remotely think you'll need later - credit card statements, utility bills, back accounts, car payments, etc. Some creditors will turn off your online access after you file and getting information from them can be a challange. Some items you need to pay like a mortgage (rent or lease) or your car payment, they cannot bill you during the bankruptcy stay. So you'll want to have your account numbers and payment addresses handy so that you can continue to send payments in order to stay current. In addition, having the information printed and on hand helps if you need to dispute anything that doesn't get updated on your credit reports correctly. To this day I'm kicking myself for a bill I forgot to print.........
