Make sure to ask all the questions you can before apping. Many CU's will help you out more than a big bank just saying, "apply to find out" haha
Getting a Secured Sharing Savings Loan and Secured Credit Card with our CU was a great way to start after discharge. Just make sure they report to all three credit agencies. Best of luck to you.

Are you sure about that? My understanding is that BK7 discharges and extinguishes ALL debt, with the exception of re-affirmed debt, tax debt and student load debt. Being a charge-off that has not gone to collections should not make a difference.
