Travel before bankruptcy

I have already engaged a lawyer who will be working on my case. Because of my financial situation he recommends that I not file for another 3 to 4 months and to stop paying on all credits, and also to stop accumulating new debt, which is fine. I also need to contribute to an IRA and make donations.

My birthday is coming up and I was wanting to use miles to fly round trip but would have to pay for a hotel ($300). I would of course use my debit card.

Would this throw my BK out or is this reasonable?

How many lates do you have now? If none I wouldnt add any. I dont agree to stop paying anything before a BK filing. Until that case number is in the system. Make the mininum payments. Everyday living expenses is what the trustee looks for. No lavish spend before the meeting of creditors. Why get some 120 day lates added on top of the BK?
