After seeing this thread, I wanted to verify for myself. It's true, they let me have access to the full website! I was just discharged in May 2017. I opened a new checking, and applied for a secured American Express at a $500 initial deposit. I didn't want to press my luck with an unsecured card, as I burned them for about $10,000 just two months ago. I hope NFCU will be as forgiving in the near future. Smiley Happy

Were you approved for secured card?

Re: USAA let me back on the site!

We filed CH 13 back in 2008 and just got that same letter last week saying we could get online with them again. Yeah, no thanks. We've moved on. We have had our insurance with them this entire time though.

Yes, I was approved. I'll try for an unsecured in a year. I am still shocked. It took me 17 years just to reach $10,000 in credit with them, I burned them, and now they are kind enough to give me another chance.

I was able as well, you'll see my post about it in "personal Finance".

I just read your post. Thanks for the heads up. I now know that I won't qualify for an unsecured card for at least five years. I will now deposit $4500 from another savings account, into the secured card, and just wait it out.

Do you have access to any secured cards that would possibly graduate? USAA's secured cards don't graduate, ever.. Unless you're just going after the relationship Smiley Happy
