Verizon PFD luck anyone

I am just creating an updated thread to see if anyone has had any recent luck with Verizon and a pfd? I only am finding threads from 2-4 years ago. If anyone has had luck was the pfd agreement difficult to reach?

@Credit-Addict

Is the debt with Verizon or a CA? I'm assuming it's a CO debt.

Re: Verizon PFD luck anyone

I dont recall any thread stating Verizon PFD success since joining in 2016. Or any cell phone company for that matter.

I emailed the executive office and they told me the balance. They did say an agency had taken the bill over though.

Re: Verizon PFD luck anyone

Hi Firemedic. I know you have answered a lot of my threads. I know I sometimes ask similar things. I just want to understand better. Pretty much I pay the verizon collection and wait seven years until I may be approved for anything or not automatically denied. I am in bk 13. I dont plan on making any jumps at credit now anyways. So do i pay now to 0 or wait a couple of years then pay to zero. Will the timeframe matter?

Also, since you already know about me needing to get a car, do you think I may have any luck getting a refinance after about 2 years of on time payments?

Just so I understand, did you Ch13 list Verizon?  If so, they will recover funds as specified in your plan.

Is there a specific reason your worried about Verizon?

I had a small collections for Verizon included as part of my Ch13 but it hasn't affected my account with them at all.  I got new devices approved with them while openly in Ch13.

It is because it's the only collection that's reporting. I want to handle it but if it's still going to impact the same I dont see the point in trying.

You said you are currently in Ch13.  If so, Verizon collections should be included in your plan OR your plan explains why they aren't "in the plan".   Anything showing up on your credit report right now will likely stay put until you reach your discharge.

Re: Verizon PFD luck anyone

CA. If the CA filed after the Chapter 13 started and it was in good condition before that then went to collections. Then they have a case. Same as a Chapter 7. All is fine, bills paid each month, then you mess up and something goes to collections after DC. Then you cant claim you filed BK. Thats the main issue. If all was normal. Phone service was fine and then hit the bricks after the Chapter 13 was underway. Your stuck with it. If this is the case. Then paid is a whole lot better than owed on your reports. Make sense?
