Hello all,
Thank you all for all of your help and support. I have been a lurker for a while and now decided to post. I'm working on rebuilding my credit after a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2020. A year has passed since discharge. I would like to be in the 700 range within the next year. Any assistance in reaching my goal would be appreciated. Below are the accounts I have so far.
Current scores according to Experian FICO Score app:
EX: 656 EQ: 674 TU: 653
I currently have 3 CC’s
Credit One Bank Platinum: February 2020 - $0 balance $300 limit
Discover it Secured: August 2020 - $0 balance $200 limit
Capital One Platinum: December 2020 - $3.58 balance $500 limit
Total credit utilization has stays below 3% most of the time. May have been a month where I carried a balance greater than 10% credit utilization.
My original car loan was with Consumer Portfolio Services, Inc at 15% interest opened in February of 2020, I refinanced with PenFed Credit Union at 8% in September of 2020. I also have a SelfLenders and Fingerhut.
SelfLenders: $25 a month for 24 months opened August of 2020
FingerHut: $11.54 balance with $600 limit.
I still have 4 accounts reporting included in bankruptcy on my credit report as well that I plan on disputing with the credit bureaus. Anything else I can do at the moment? Suggests welcome.
Why are you disputing the accounts included in BK, did they report derogatories after the filing?
I'm with @mich800 . You should not be disputing an account included in BK simply for the fact of reporting said event. It will fall off (with exception of early exclusion, etc) no later than 7 years plus 180 days after the DOFD (date of first delinquency) where the account was never brought back current again.
Best of luck!
