Hello all, I will introduce myself as a 29 yr old millienial who undertook some SERIOUS debt along my path through college and into my career. I made a lot of mistakes and continued to dig myself deeper with payday loans and installment loans from preditory lenders. I was consistantly being called by bill collectors and to complete my embarassing cycle I received two wage garnishments at work. I finally made the decision to file Chapter 7 banktuptcy and start my credit life all over and believe me it was not a easy decision to make as I felt like I was failing at so much. I started visiting this site in February and will say I visited this site more than any social media platform and want to let you guys know that your advice, stories, successes,...etc put so much more confidence in me going through the process. I ecstatic to say that I filed for BK7 on May 8th, and it was discharged on August 19th 2015!
I am overly ecstatic to announce that on August 24th, a mere 5 days after my BK7 was discharged, I was approved for a CapitalOne QuickSilver One with a $2k CL! I was intially shocked and could not believe that the words APPROVED came across my laptop screen as I have not seen those words for a good while. This site has put a plan in place for me and I am definitely on the road to a 700 credit score.
For anyone out there reading this who thinks Chapter 7 is "embarassing" or a "black mark" or "irresponsible" or any of those words break your self from the cycle. Take the necessary steps to free yourself from the stress and anxiety, you are definitely alone in this world as I have found out.
