Zoom 341 and chapter 7 asset case question

Today our lawyer told us that the 341 meeting will be on zoom I was not aware of that as years ago it was in the courthouse is this common? We are in Florida.

My next question is unfortunately this is the second time we're filing I do make a lot more than I made before but last time it was a no asset case this time I make a lot more very close to the cutoff for a chapter 7. We do have some more assets nothing crazy but the lawyer says we'd probably have to pay back about 5k over 10 months. Is this normal? I never really see that happen when I read the boards. I'm fine to make the payment since I'm getting rid of 70k plus debt just wondered.

I did ask the lawyer and she mentioned with the amount of money we make and owning our home it's not feasible that we would have no assets to claim. Again it's Florida so there's little exemption because the main exemption is the home.

Re: Zoom 341 and chapter 7 asset case question

We had our 341 meeting over zoom. I think that's normal since Covid.
as far as assets, I am in a similar situation only with home equity not wages. My trustee has settled with me for $17,000. We have 90 days to pay it. Thankfully we have the ability to pull those funds from my 401k, not ideal but that's life sometimes.
We have one creditor disputing our case so hopefully that gets resolved soon. I'm ready to move on.
