credit score stalling

Hi I filed chp7 in aug 2003 and the day after I got discharged I started a massive restructure of my life. I created a great system of finance. I have lots of unsecure credit never been late again. I bought a house last year with no problems at all. only problem I have is my score is stalling out. I can check my score today it will be 650 then 1 month later after another month of pos info on my credit report my score will go up and so on but when ever my score hits like 680 the very next month with only good reporting taking place for some reason my score goes back to 650 or it has gone to 620. I cant understand for some reason as I get close to the 700 score it seems to for no reason automatically drop down again. I have determined that they must rate bk filers in a way that there score will never hit 700  can anyone help me tell me am i crazy if im wrong in my therey  can you tell me how to break into 700 mark thanks all

Re: credit score stalling

I am not sure about your situation, but I have seen some people that have been out of a BK for about 2 years with scores in the very low 700.   I think they had a few old accounts and were perfect on everything.   In addition, the balances on the credit cards were all less than 20% of the max/avail. balance.   The report should give you a hint, but you are correct that it can be frustrating trying to rebuild it back.   I guess this will be a little of lesson to not get yourself in the situation again (which it sounds like you have).

Re: credit score stalling

Yea thanks for the input. I did learn a hard lesson. Glad I learned it early though. I keep my bal very low I just cant get it all I want is 700 and I will be happy. I earned it I know I filed bk but I have recovered I shouldnt have to wait 10 yrs.
