trying to get a credit card after filing a chapter 7

Hi there.  I'm having a challenging time.  My husband and my scores are in the mid 600's but I cannot get a credit card.  Has anyone had a different experience?

Thanks

Depends how long you have been out of chapter 7.

My first card was HSBC-orchard

then Capital One

Then Hooters.....

if you didn't have these included in your chapter 7 start with them if you are at least 3 months post BK.

Hi,
I think it depends on your credit before filing. You can try Orchard Bank. They have 2 Great unsecured cards which only have a $59 annual fee. If you calculate that, its only $5 a month or so. A small price to pay for rebuilding credit. They also have secured cards if you dont qualify for the unsecured. Good Luck.

Current Score: 800
