I didn't think I would get this CLI but they relented. I was approved for this card 61 days ago for a $2k SL. Yesterday, I moved $1k from a more recently approved Blue Business Cash that also had a $2k SL. So today, I asked for $9k on the BBP and they gave it to me instantly.
SP of course, somewhere around 690 EX 08, One big unpaid 6.75 year old CO remains on my EX report.
Question. I applied for the BBC 45 days ago with no SUB. What would happen if I closed it? How long would I have to wait until applying again? I would prefer to apply again once my EX cleans up (preferably with a SUB). Should I just suck it up and keep it open?
First, congrats on your CLI! Smart move to reallocate CL before requesting the 3X. I wouldn't close and try to reapply for a SUB. I suspect you'd get the message that reads something like "Number of cards opened or closed with American Express" cited as a reason not to give it to you.
I suppose that is the wise move. I can always reallocate again. The next app will be Biz also, Marriott or Biz Delta Gold. If the DW is any indication, they should through a big SL at me after EX is clear.
