AMEX Corp card letter

Anyone get a letter stating that “Your charge line is now limited to XX,XXX.00, Once this limit on your AMEX Corporate card is reached, no further charges will be permitted….  .”  Seems strange to be informed of my credit limit, wondering if it was a new policy, I have never even spent 10% of the stated limit in a month or in 3 months actually. Payments always made early, I did check my spending ability on the account a few months ago, but the number in the letter is 3 times, the amount of my stated credit limit.

I work for a fortune 100 company, so I doubt it’s because of any change in the company’s balance sheet.

Re: AMEX Corp card letter

Your company put a spend limit on your card.

I'm also with a Fortune 100 company too and our cards have retail establishment restrictions as well as a monthly cap. That cap can be extended by our Amex program manager if long trips are coming up. We also don't put airfare on our cards - those get centrally billed.

I always thought it was strange because ours are 100% personal liability cards, but large organizations do strange things Smiley Happy
