Anyone ever gotten this reason? This is the SOLE reason:

What was the original limit, what did you request and what was approved?

Some of their algorithms appear to have been tweaked recently as they are not as accommodating with some 3x CLI requests yielding a variety of reasons (profile-specific of course).

You might have said it right there...

$3000 SL

$10000 requested

$9000 new limit granted

This wasn't 90 day / 3x though. This is my first CLI after having this Amazon Business Prime card and requesting one for over a year!

Well, regardless if you're past the 90 or 181-day mark for requesting one, the standard amount that's typically allowed is 3x the current limit. Unless you have an exceptional or well-established profile with AENB (all things considered), then the system will not allow anything over 3x the current limit.

So, the message you received is well within the guidelines as the system approved $9K. Nothing odd.

That's the typical, highly generous, "Amex 3x CLI".....   You get a CLI taking you to 3x your current limit. Or put another way you get a CLI equal to 2x your current limit.
