I applied for the business Wyndham card for my LLC, and they told me I had to unfreeze a report within 30 days to proceed. Then I applied for another business Barclays card and was denied for too many recent applications. I also applied about 3 months ago for a business and personal card if that matters.
Now I am trying to decide if I should unfreeze my report and have them review my first application. If I get denied and have the HP, then will I get denied in later by Barclays? I would rather get this card in October when my inquiries/accounts have aged, than apply now and get denied and still not be able to get the card in October.
I don't have that many inquiries or new accounts, but I think I have enough that they might not auto-approve me. I have read that their recon doesn't approve many people anymore like they used to.
My other option is to let the first application lapse, and apply in October. Am I likely to get declined since it's my third application in a short time?
Additionally, I read that it's less paperwork and hassle to get the Sole Prop version, and if I apply in October I'll do that. I'm a little worried that my LLC application will be a hassle. I don't mind sending in EIN verification and one or two state business documents, but I don't want to have to send taxes.
I have an existing personal card with Barclays and they don't like that I didn't use it very much, but I really want to use the business card regularly. However, I'm unsure if I would want to speak with recon.
In general on here, there's not a lot of praise for Barclays business offerings and in the past people have stated the reconsiderations aren't possible. If you don't need the card until October and think it would be better to wait, I would do that.
