I just got my first business card which is an AMEX Blue Business Cash Card. I was rebuilding, never had an AMEX card and 2 1/2 years ago my scores were in the high 500s...Worked hard, waited for a chargeoff to fall off my report and got some rebuilder cards and now I am in the low 800s. I got an AMEX Blue Cash Preferred card about 6 months ago. Just got the Blue Business Cash card. I could have gotten it sooner probably but I wanted to wait until I got a CLI on my personal card. I would do a preapproval check for the personal card. If you are approved, pick a card and ge from there. Once in the AMEX system, then getting a business card will be a soft pull (probably). Mine was and most will say they wont do a hard pull, but AMEX says they MIGHT need a hard pull.
