Against my better judgement, I agreed to apply for this card in the branch as the business banker is after me to open a credit card. I told her that I was just out of the app spree and my AAoA is less than a year. But all she said was let's give it a try and see what happens.
Today I received the mail with decline reasons.
- lack of established revolving credit references on your personal credit file
- there are excessive inquiries on your credit file.
BoA cash rewards - 2 years
Amex BCE - 2 months
NFCU cash rewards - 0 months
Capital one Spark business - 2 months (this is reporting on my personal CR)
BoA cash rewards for business - 6 months (this is business card. So, not reporting to personal.)
Went on app spree (before joining this forum, so, lot of rookie mistakes) and total 12 inquiries on each CB.
Question is: should I try for recon and what is the best number at BoA? The BoA cash rewards for business is a secure card. Should I propose that for new card too?
