As Citibank Gold client appl for citi business card AA and got approved for $1500
DP : Fico 800+ , 2/24 , exp, 3 Amex Business $18k, $10k, $25k , Boa business travel $25k , boa adv bus $20k , discover Business $25k, FNBO $20k , citizen $15k....appl to get the sub and miles, should i keep this account ?
I guess it would depend on how much typicall spend with AA on tickets. Pre-Covid, I could get across the country for under $700....now with a seat upgrade it's closer to $1300 for me so if you think you'll benefit, I would..but again, only if you think you'll spend enough with AA to make it worth your while.
I agree that $1,500 wouldn't be enough of a CL to cover a ticket in some situations, but maybe you can get it bumped up on recon.
On the plus side I don't think this will show on your personal reports so even if you max it buying tickets you won't be penalized on your FICO scores.
Congrats on your Citi Business Card AA approval.
When you applied for the BofA card what were your data points? How many inquiries did you have, how many new accounts did you have in the last year? Can you maybe help us by listing the biz cards you got and when to show the order? These help everyone that may be interested in getting some of those. THANKS>
This is supposed to be a mid to upper tier business card.
They should never give a limit under 5k and to be quite honest 10k if they are going to bother to issue it to someone.
you are right pure waste of hp, people should be careful not to apply for business credit card with so low credit limit that can't even get you the sub, really disappointed of citi business

They did the same to me with similar dp's. You suffered the hp. You might as well hold on since the cli's are soft pulls imo.

I have experienced the same today, but not from Citi, rather from BOA. Can't really understand sometime this kinda thing. OP has such a high CL on almost all credit cards and now this toy limit....same happened to me. And I believe it would hard to get CLI on business side without enough justification unlike on personal cards where its relatively easy to get CLI without much to no spending. I would close down this Citi business card with this much limit. I didnt get what OP got...$1500, rather I got $5k...which I am contemplating to close down...

you should keep BOA , you still get $300 statement credit and $5k to start building a business credit is good also $5k is better than $1500
