It has been less than 3 months since my CIU approval (post can be found here: https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Business-Credit/Chase-Ink-Unlimited-Approval/m-p/6609227#M44741). Having a few trips planned for 2023 and 2024 the 90k SUB would be very helpful with those trips. Decided to apply, went pending. Finally got a letter after two weeks from chase to verify some of my info with a CSR, then declined.
Reasons for decline:
Business too new (false. My business has Been around since 2018; corp + s-corp)
Too many inquiries (somewhat true)
Recently had a new card open (CIU)
Too many applications for credit (only other app I had in the passed 90 days was for the CSP which was declined and even recon didn't help; took an L there)
asked for a second reconsideration. CSR asked what type of business I ran; explained I was an e-commerce/consulting business; buy and sell inventory and that the CIC would be very useful for my business for X,Y,Z reasons. System wouldn't approve me but I asked if I could move credit line to open the card from my CIU. Approved by moving $4k from my CIU to open the CIC. So my CIU goes from $16k down to $4k which isn't too bad. Another SUB coming my way with a bunch of business expenses in Q1 of this year.
DP:
5/24 status: 3/24 (technically 4/24 but my recent Amex personal gold hasn't reported yet; that post can be found here: https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Approvals/Amex-Personal-Gold-Card/m-p/6629556#M842726)
AAoA: 4 years
Pulled Experian. FICO8 was 753 at the time w/ 8 INQ's in passed 2 years.
Applied under my Corporation (S-Corp tax status)
Stated income: $95,000
Business Revenue: $200k
